Outreach is an essential element in FIRST Tech Challenge.
Teams are encouraged to help the greater community, whether it is be spreading the word of FIRST, or educating others on science, technology, and engineering.

Issaquah Library Event
This event has completed.
On January 27th, our team partnered with FLL team Water Those and hosted an event at the Issaquah Library.
Preperation
We invited students and parents from elementary and middle schools. We emailed all the elementary schools and middle schools in Issaquah School District, as well as a few in the Bellevue School District. We put flyers on online websites like ParentMap, and we put posters in schools and Issaquah Library.
Procedure
To begin the event, our team gave the packed room a presentation about FIRST and its programs, such as FLL and FTC, and gave tips to new students. People learned the core values, the basics of building a robot, and much more. Children had fun playing with the LEGO parts we had brought, and older kids were able to drive our two FTC demo robots. We also answered the tsunami of questions from parents and students. Over 100 people showed up. We were touched by the interest of these people, there were people even driving down all the way from Bothell, just to participate in our event.
Aftermath
Our event helped people discover the opportunities of STEAM and FIRST. We received donations that help us buy new supplies. Eyeing the success of our event, the Issaquah Library offered to partner with our team and FLL team Water Those to host more events involving STEAM and robotics.

FLL Mentoring
This event has completed.
In September, team members Ariel and Brandon visited FLL team Water Those and mentored them. We helped the FLL students with code, assisted them in robot building, and showed them a slideshow that we made on FTC.
